Your Responsibilities as an Airfare Buyer (m/f/d)
- Purchasing the necessary flight capacity for our trips at the best possible terms
- Ensuring availability during the marketing period; purchasing additional quotas as needed
- Analyzing flight options and preparing price comparisons for coordination with product purchasing
- Creating flight schedules for product management to calculate trip costs
- Conducting strategic negotiations with designated airlines, including renegotiating contract terms as needed
- Quota and risk management (release dates & cancellations)
Your Profile as a Flight Buyer (m/f/d)
- Qualified training in tourism or business, e.g., as a travel agent (m/f/d)
- Professional experience in a comparable position in the airline industry with relevant market knowledge
- Strong network and contacts within the tourism and aviation sectors
- Excellent, proven practical knowledge of the Amadeus GDS (reservations, ticketing, quota management) as well as proficiency with MS Excel
- Very good command of German and business-level proficiency in English
- Strong negotiation skills
- Cost-conscious numerical aptitude and analytical thinking skills
