Frankfurt based, 18-month maternity leave cover fixed term contract

About the role

To help cement Australia’s strong position as a prime leisure destination we’re looking for a dynamic and friendly individual to join the team in Frankfurt, Germany in a temporary, full-time 18-month maternity leave coverage role as Aussie Specialist Program Trainer to help represent and market one of the most beautiful countries in the world… Australia!

Tourism Australia recognizes the important role that front line travel sellers play in bringing visitors to Australia. The Aussie Specialist Program is the interactive online training platform Tourism Australia uses to educate, update and motivate front line sales agents to sell Australia.

You will be responsible for delivering and achieving the following:

  • Develop and deliver innovative and interactive training presentations to achieve agreed targets
  • Manage the Webinar program – conduct training or host partners
  • Organizing and running events that provide a platform and the opportunity for State and Territory Organizations (STOs) and other partners to train travel agents on their products/regions
  • Work with internal teams to develop a training plan including agreed targets for number of trainees, sessions presented, and familiarization trips escorted
  • Maintain a rolling training calendar and work with the STOs and internal teams to review core training programs regularly against training plan
  • Drive recruitment of new Aussie Specialist agents at events and support engagement of the site by qualified Aussie Specialist agents
  • Complete regular summary of key training activities and provide reports on activities and insights from those trained
  • Develop client feedback program and oversee qualitative research
  • Manage allocated Aussie Specialist budget with guidance from Distribution & Partnerships Manager
  • Manage Aussie Specialist Program familiarization (famil) program in collaboration with STOs and Key Distribution Partners
  • Work with partners to identify top sellers.

As Tourism Australia is a multinational organization, this role requires the incumbent to have a willingness and availability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.

  • Excellent Australian destination and product knowledge
  • Strong and confident presenting skills with the ability to create and deliver engaging face to face training presentations
  • German language skills (written and oral) at mother tongue level and fluency in English (written and oral)
  • Savviness in Microsoft office and online training /presentation programs
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster and develop relationships
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to solve problems in a positive manner
  • A strong desire to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to manage and reprioritize competing deadlines and priorities, working to short deadlines
  • Ability to produce clear and persuasive documents with an ability to tailor content to ensure all documents are audience appropriate.
  • Understanding and Knowledge of German Tourism Distribution Landscape is desirable
