In addition to our long-standing OTA business, we are pursuing the ambitious plan to position Urlaubsguru as an established dynamic tour operator.
For this exciting project, we are looking for expertise in flight purchasing with experience in the tour operator or tourism sector. As a Flight Purchasing Product Manager (f/m/d), you can look forward to a wide range of tasks: working with our Product Managers to develop package deals based on the principle of dynamic packaging and offering them to our users. The focus is on products that are strongly oriented towards the needs of our customers and fit perfectly with our lifestyle brand with a high-quality portfolio of offers.
Work location: You can work in our offices in Holzwickede, Vienna, Utrecht or Palma de Mallorca - hybrid or fully remote from the mobile office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In our tour operator team, you will be responsible for all matters relating to flights, including purchasing, planning and monitoring. As a central interface, you will promote the development of innovative travel products through continuous collaboration with our product managers.
- Developing and implementing dynamic purchasing strategies to maximize savings and optimize flight supply and contingents
- Monitor airfares and market trends to identify competitive offers
- Direct exchange with flight partners and negotiation of special prices
- Establishing and further developing our purchasing technologies to automate and optimize flight purchases and connecting new interfaces
- Working closely with our product managers to develop and package new travel products and further develop our portfolio strategy
YOUR SKILLS
As part of a small project team, you will show great commitment and ambition to establish Urlaubsguru as a dynamic tour operator. You will work in an environment that combines start-up ideas with established structures and processes. You will be ready to tackle and take on new tasks.
- Professional experience in the field of tourism flight management (purchasing, control, monitoring)
- In-depth understanding of the flight market and pricing mechanisms
- Ideally previous experience in dynamic packaging at a tour operator
- Negotiating skills, assertiveness and strong interpersonal skills
- Cost awareness, independence and a target- and customer-oriented way of working
- High affinity for new technologies and their use in the purchasing process
- Very good knowledge of German and English
