Hotel Buyer | Tourism Contracting Manager (m/f/d)

Reisen Aktuell GmbH | Koblenz on the Rhine | Job ID: RA-ECM-260917

About the Position

Since 2010, as an owner-managed tour operator, we have been committed to providing our customers with quality at affordable prices. At our headquarters in Koblenz on the Rhine, we employ around 300 colleagues. You can expect varied and exciting work in a modern workplace, a family-like corporate culture with flat hierarchies, and room for your ideas.

Your Mission:

As a Hotel Buyer | Tourism Contracting Manager (m/f/d), you’ll be responsible for managing and developing your own hotel portfolio—with a clear focus on profitability, the market, and long-term partnerships.

Do you want to do more than just manage hotels—do you want to actively develop your own portfolio? With us, you’ll help decide which hotels to include in our program, negotiate terms and availability, and manage your region based on sales, margins, and market potential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Your Portfolio—Your Responsibility
You’ll manage the hotel portfolio (approx. 100 partners) in a region (Southern Germany / Switzerland / Italy / Austria) and be responsible for its financial performance. You’ll set the right priorities and ensure that your products are positioned to be both profitable and attractive.
  • Negotiating & Developing Partnerships
You’ll conduct negotiations on pricing, contracts, and terms with our hotel partners—by phone, online, and in person on-site. You’ll further develop existing partnerships and know when to use tact and when to be assertive.
  • Attracting New Hotels & Acquiring Partners
You actively expand your region: You identify attractive hotels and tourism service partners, reach out to potential partners in a targeted manner, and convince them to collaborate with us.
  • Managing with Metrics
You use KPIs, margins, and sales trends to identify what’s working and where action is needed. From there, you derive concrete measures and implement them consistently.
  • Keeping an Eye on the Market and Competition
You monitor destinations, competitors, and market trends and use your insights to inform purchasing decisions and the further development of your region.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You have several years of experience in hotel procurement or tourism product management. Alternatively, you have relevant experience in account management or sales within the tourism or hospitality industry.
  • You can win people over to your side and your ideas, and you present yourself confidently, engagingly, and persuasively when dealing with a variety of stakeholders.
  • You enjoy negotiating and are skilled at it. You build sustainable partnerships without losing sight of business interests.
  • You think commercially and data-driven, using key metrics not only for analysis but also as the basis for your decisions.
  • You manage your area of responsibility independently, set priorities, and take action when you identify opportunities for improvement.
  • You have a keen sense for hotels, destinations, and offerings with sales potential.

What to Expect in Your Role with Us

  • Plenty of creative freedom
You’ll be responsible for your own region and can actively develop your portfolio. Your ideas and decisions have a direct impact on business performance.
  • Results You Can See
Your negotiations and purchasing decisions have a direct impact on sales and margins. This allows you to see exactly what a difference your work makes.
  • Close to your partners and the market
Personal contact is part of the job: You’ll meet with hotel partners on-site, conduct negotiations, and attend trade shows and industry events.
  • What makes this job special:
You don’t just manage an existing portfolio—you actively develop your region with an entrepreneurial mindset. Your negotiations, purchasing decisions, and new partnerships have a direct impact on sales and margins.
