(Junior) Port Operations Manager (all gender)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary management of the Shore Excursion Purchasing and Travel Concierge department, in close coordination with the Managing Director and the product areas
- You are the driving force for your team and continuously develop the tourism experience on land - always with an eye on customer needs, market trends and the strategic positioning of our brand
- You are responsible for the strategic and operational development of the product promise and derive concrete measures from it
- You take on budget responsibility for the entire area - from planning and management to monitoring results
- You actively drive the further development of the Travel Concierge offering - before, during and after the trip
- Together with your team, you will develop new shore excursion formats and position our offering in an innovative and future-oriented way
- You continuously monitor the market and competition, analyze trends and derive suitable measures for differentiation and further development
- You are responsible for the selection, management and quality control of our worldwide shore excursion/travel concierge agencies
- You will also be responsible for day-to-day operations and the independent management of projects
- You will also be responsible for the introduction of new tourism IT systems on land and on board
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Informative support for port calls, among other things:
- Obtaining nautical clearances and official approvals as well as legal review of schedules including evaluation of destinations
- Reservation of berths including checking availability in advance
- Obtaining and communicating port and berth-related information and documents
- Preparing and checking the relevant information for travel documents and other media, including researching and communicating entry requirements
Operational support for port calls, including
- Supervision of security registrations for day visitors
- Planning, support and documentation of all processes in the port in compliance with local conditions and regulations, including official approvals and cargo shipments
- Evaluating port agency evaluations and preparing and communicating supplier evaluations
- Active participation in the further development and cost reduction of port operations
