With about 150 employees, we are an agile unit driving the digital transformation of public administration in Germany—lean, specialized, and with the freedom to innovate. As the implementation unit of the IT Planning Council, we strengthen the capacity to act, create synergies, and connect stakeholders. Our collaboration is based on openness, trust, and mutual respect—diversity on an equal footing defines how we work together. What unites us is our motivation to actively shape the public administration of tomorrow.
These are your responsibilities
You will lead the project to design sustainable participation and decision-making processes related to the products “My Business Account (MUK),”
“Governikus Application,” and “Governikus MultiMessenger (GMM) Application.” In doing so, you will work with all stakeholders to further develop collaboration between FITKO, the federal government, the states, and service providers.
You will further develop the committee and participation structures for key products in the federal government’s digital transformation and ensure that decision-making processes are designed to be transparent, effective, and tailored to the intended audience. In doing so, you will support the successful coordination of all involved parties.
You will analyze the interests and requirements of the federal government, the states, service providers, and other stakeholders, assess their impact on the products, and develop recommendations for their further development.
You will develop strategic concepts for the further development of governance, participation, and coordination processes within the product group and advise the Product Management department head, the product group lead, and the product managers on their implementation.
You will facilitate workshops, coordination, and engagement sessions, and support participants in reconciling different interests and perspectives to develop viable decisions.
You will shape the design and further development of cross-product exchange, communication, and engagement formats, thereby strengthening collaboration between FITKO, the federal government, the states, and service providers.
What you'll bring to the table:
You have a college degree (master’s or university diploma) in political science, public administration, social sciences, economics, or law, or a comparable field. Alternatively, you hold a bachelor’s, master’s, or university of applied sciences degree, along with relevant, verifiable skills at the master’s level and at least five years of professional experience in a corresponding qualified role.
You have several years of professional experience in designing governance and decision-making structures, in stakeholder management, or in comparable coordinating, advisory, or mediating roles.
You have experience analyzing complex sets of interests, reconciling different perspectives, and collaboratively developing viable solutions in challenging organizational and decision-making processes.
You possess strong conceptual skills and can present complex issues in a way that is clear and tailored to the audience. In addition, you develop decision-making documents and recommendations for action for various target groups.
You work independently, strategically, and in a structured manner, maintaining a clear overview even during complex coordination and change processes.
Ideally, you already have some experience in the field of public administration, federal cooperation, or facilitating workshops and participatory formats.
You work reliably and with a focus on solutions, and you value teamwork.
You have very good written and spoken German skills (C2 level).
Are you interested in helping to shape FITKO and, by extension, digital government?
