Our mission as a regional tourism organization is to inspire guests to travel to Carinthia and create benefits for the tourism industry. In order to strengthen our market presence at home and abroad, we are building up a new "Sales Promotion" team and are looking for a strong leader with strategic vision, operational implementation skills and a sound understanding of B2B sales.

Sales Promotion Team Leader (m/f/d)

Full-time | Location: Klagenfurt

The new role:

As Team Leader Sales Promotion, you will design and lead a new, powerful team (4-6 people), which operates nationwide sales promotion through targeted networking of Carinthian tourism businesses with potential sales partners on the market . These include tour operators and travel agencies, incomers, air and rail lines as well as associations and clubs.
You ensure that direct business relationships are established between these sales partners and Carinthian tourism businesses and initiate booking-related cooperations. In doing so, you ensure that all measures are geared towards measurable contact points and sales impact . You develop a network of sales partners in international markets and take into account market developments and the needs of market partners with foresight. You will support Carinthian businesses with individual advice and work with them to develop attractive travel offers for international markets.

Your tasks - strategic and operational:

Strategy & market positioning

  • Development of a nationwide sales promotion strategy with a focus on quality, impact and bookability
  • Development of strategies, e.g. for low seasons, themed vacations and new target groups as part of Carinthia's positioning
  • Analysis and derivation of market measures based on booking data, travel behavior and benchmarks in international markets

Network management & implementation

  • Development of cooperations with international sales partners, e.g. tour operators, booking platforms, etc.
  • Sales support and advice for Carinthian businesses on developing offers, product bundling and market entry
  • Planning and implementation of impact-oriented B2B measures: e.g. roadshows, fam trips, trade fairs, cooperation projects, digital formats
  • Coordination and quality assurance of Carinthia's presence at trade fairs and international sales campaigns

Management, budget & reporting

  • Development and technical and organizational management of the team
  • Ensuring a performance-oriented, team-centered work culture with clear KPIs and impact measurement
  • Ongoing analysis and increasing the effectiveness of measures (e.g. contacts, leads, booking development)
  • Transparent internal and external reporting - including the derivation of improvement measures

Your profile - what you bring to the table:

  • Several years of professional and management experience in tourism B2B sales
  • Experience in the development of booking-relevant sales measures and partnerships at home and abroad
  • Strong understanding of tourism value chains, sales logic and digital booking channels
  • Good knowledge of Carinthia's tourism offering
  • Strong communication skills, networking skills and a confident manner towards partners, decision-makers and businesses
