The joint venture between TUI AG and the US cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. employs around 750 people in Hamburg and Berlin. On board the ships, 136 positions are managed directly by TUI Cruises GmbH. A fleet of seven ships sails for the Mein Schiff® brand. Since the end of 2020, the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises brand has also been part of TUI Cruises GmbH with a fleet of currently five ships. The Mein Schiff® fleet offers contemporary vacation cruises at sea in the premium segment (Mein Schiff 1 to Mein Schiff 7). Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is the leading luxury and expedition cruise brand in the German-speaking world with a 130-year history. Senior Travel Agent Manager (all gender)
for the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises brand
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Technical contact person for the employees of the travel agency team
- Managing the flow of information between the interfaces (product management, sales, tourism, etc.) and within the HLC Services division
- De-escalation of telephone claims ("before the trip") from the end customer or travel agency
- Competent and efficient handling of telephone vacancy, option and booking inquiries as well as reservations, rebookings and option cancellations from end customers and travel agencies with the aim of achieving a high case completion rate
- Optimizing the quality of service and advice as well as the transfer of knowledge within the travel agency team
- Active management of the team in day-to-day business to achieve the defined KPIs
- Developing the team in technical and team-specific matters
- Managing and planning the deployment of personnel
- Participation in the personnel selection process
- Collaboration in the implementation of projects
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Completed training in tourism with several years of professional experience
- Strong sales and service-oriented as well as committed and careful way of working
- Confident appearance paired with diplomatic assertiveness and empathy
- Initial management experience an advantage
- Responsible and independent way of working with the ability to solve cross-team issues
- Optimization and adaptation of work processes
- Analytical and organizational skills as well as flexibility
- Business management thinking and acting
- Ability to work in a team and flexibility
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Experience with common booking programs is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of MS Office
