Tourism and Public Relations Officer (f/m/d)
Full-time, permanent (reference number 25113)
Unit 58 is based in Münsingen.
The Swabian Alb Biosphere Reserve, which has been awarded UNESCO status, is one of 18 model regions of this kind in Germany, in which the coexistence of man and nature is being developed and tested in an exemplary manner. The staff of Department 58 initiate, coordinate and support projects in the areas of ecology, economy and social affairs, which promote sustainable development in the region. A significant added value for the Swabian Alb biosphere area is created through cooperation with tourism stakeholders in the field of sustainable tourism. Model projects are developed and implemented jointly.
As part of the public relations work, current information from all fields of action of the biosphere area is regularly communicated via various analog and digital media. The offers developed with the stakeholders in the field of sustainable tourism are actively advertised.
Your tasks:
- Supporting the development and supervision of model sustainable tourism projects in coordination with the head of department
- Maintaining and supporting networks and working groups in the field of tourism and public relations
- Technical support for smaller projects as part of the biosphere area's own funding program
- Carrying out the office's press work at regional level in coordination with the head of department: independently writing press releases and press invitations
- Management of the social media channels Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and the website biosphaerengebiet-alb.de
- Development of brochures, advertisements, newsletters, public relations materials (roll-ups, hardware for information stands, giveaways)
- Processing of image requests, maintenance of image database, organization of photo shoots
- Support with the organization of trade fair appearances and other events

Your profile:
- A university degree (Bachelor or FH diploma) in tourism, geography, regional development, media and communication sciences, business administration, social and behavioral sciences or a comparable field of study is required
- Very good knowledge of media and public relations work as well as very good knowledge of tourism is required to carry out the above-mentioned tasks
- High social competence, negotiating skills and moderation skills
- Open-mindedness for all fields of activity in the Swabian Alb biosphere area and a willingness to work in an interdisciplinary and networked manner
- Communication skills, a confident manner and assertiveness
- Personal responsibility, reliability and a results-oriented approach to work
- Above-average commitment, ability to work under pressure and strong teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of English
- Willingness to attend evening and weekend appointments
- Experienced handling of social media, CMS systems, Canva and common IT applications
- Driving license class 3 or B

Your payment:
Employment is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). If you meet the personal and collective agreement requirements, you will be paid in pay group 10 TV-L. In addition, there is an annual special payment in accordance with the TV-L and a company pension scheme (VBL).
