We are looking for an experienced Head of Network Planning and Scheduling to join our Commercial Department.
This position is a hybrid function based in Germany with regular visits to our offices in Frankfurt or Dusseldorf. Regular visits to Antalya will be necessary since our Commercial team is based in Antalya, Turkey.
The Head of Network Planning and Scheduling will be responsible for the following:

- Define the long-term network strategy and development plan, considering market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities.
- Evaluate new routes, network expansion opportunities, and seasonal adjustments to optimize fleet utilization and revenue generation.
- Develop and manage flight schedules for Corendon Turkey and Corendon Europe, ensuring they align with commercial, operational, and financial objectives
- Analyze schedule performance, make adjustments as necessary to improve profitability, and address operational issues.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis, assessing demand, competition, and potential new markets.
- Use data-driven insights to determine flight frequencies, timing, and aircraft deployment to meet customer demand while optimizing profitability.
- Work closely with revenue management, sales, and marketing teams to align network planning with revenue goals.
- Liaise with operations, ground handling, and crew management teams to ensure that planned schedules are operationally feasible.
- Ensure optimal fleet utilization by balancing commercial requirements with operational capabilities.
- Plan aircraft rotations and usage to maximize efficiency and minimize operational disruptions.
- Control and optimize operational costs related to network planning, such as fuel, airport fees, and crew expenses.
- Negotiate airport slots and other resources to ensure network efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with airports and destinations with the aim to secure maximum benefit for Corendon
- Provide regular performance reports on network profitability, market share, and operational efficiency.
- Use analytical tools to evaluate network performance and make data-backed decisions for future planning.
- Ensure all network and schedule planning comply with relevant aviation regulations and international slot coordination rules.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in network planning tools and systems.
- Implement advanced scheduling tools to enhance efficiency in route planning and optimization.
Qualifications:
- Holding a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Data Sciences, e.g. Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
- Minimum 10 years of job-related experience, ideally experienced in aviation
- Excellent command of English
- Proficient in relevant computer programs, especially in MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure and within a dynamic environment
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to work hybrid with regular presence at our office in Dusseldorf or Frankfurt
- No obstacle to travel regularly to Antalya according to business needs
