Deputy Head of Department Flight (m/f/d)
Permanent position | full-time
Your tasks as Deputy Head of Flight Department (m/f/d)
- Close cooperation with the Head of Flight Department on fundamental technical issues and departmental organization as well as further development of the department / processes
- Active participation in flight purchasing incl. checking contracts for negotiated and purchased flight quotas
- Ensuring bookability during marketing, purchasing additional contingents if necessary
- Analysis of flight options and preparation of price comparisons for coordination with product purchasing
- Estimating prices and allotments for the trips for which we are responsible (long-haul trips / cruises)
- Creating flight tables for product management to calculate the trip
- Strategic negotiation with defined airlines, if necessary also renegotiation of contract contents
- Coordination with flight scheduling regarding negotiated contract contents such as quotas, prices, ticketing specifications, etc.
Your profile as Deputy Head of Flight Department (m/f/d)
- Qualified tourism or commercial training, e.g. as a travel agent (m/f/d), tourism agent (m/f/d) or similar
- Relevant professional experience in a comparable position in the flight sector / flight purchasing
- Management experience in a comparable position
- Ideally good networking within the tourism industry and existing contacts with airlines
- Enjoy networking and making new professional contacts
- Confident handling of Amadeus
- Good knowledge of the MS Office package, especially Excel
- Very good knowledge of German and business fluent English
