Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and responsible Cargo Specialist to join our cargo team at Frankfurt Airport (FRA).
This position involves customer development, market analysis, air cargo reservations, flight operations coordination, and documentation. Relevant training will be provided to help the successful candidate become familiar with our cargo processes and internal systems.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop potential customers and identify new air cargo business opportunities
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers and freight forwarders
- Analyze market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities
- Prepare quotes and business proposals, and monitor sales performance and customer feedback
- Handle air cargo reservations, bookings, and space allocation
- Respond to inquiries from customers and freight forwarders
- Monitor bookings, cargo capacity, and shipment status
- Enter and maintain AWB and shipment data in cargo systems
- Prepare and verify export cargo documents, flight documents, and operational records
- Coordinate with warehouses, ramp handling agents, trucking companies, and overseas stations. Plan, coordinate, and manage Road Feeder Service (RFS) trucking operations across the European market.
- Support flight preparation and monitor cargo loading and unloading activities
- Assist with special cargo, ULD matters, and operational irregularities
- Prepare sales, operational, and statistical reports
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety, security, and company procedures
- Perform other cargo-related duties as assigned
Your Profile
- Vocational training, education, or relevant professional experience in air cargo, freight forwarding, logistics, aviation, or a related field
- Experience in business development, air cargo sales, cargo reservations, cargo documentation, ramp operations, or customer service is a plus
- Good command of written and spoken German and English
- Knowledge of Chinese is an advantage but not required
- Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
- A responsible, accurate, and well-organized work style
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with air cargo systems, particularly iCargo, is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational requirements
- A valid Class B driver’s license is an advantage but not required
- Valid authorization to work in Germany
- Ability to obtain the required Frankfurt Airport security clearance
