Flight Buyer (m/f/d)
Your challenge
As a flight buyer, you support the planning and purchasing phase and ensure the availability of flights and seat allotments.
Your day-to-day business
- Yield-oriented management of all flight capacities through contingent and price control measures for the allocated destinations
- Active coordination of control measures with hotel purchasing, sales and the incoming agencies
- Creation of new aircraft in the flight master of the tourism software WBS Blank
- Processing cancellations by the airlines
- Market monitoring of prices and capacities and, if necessary, requesting special prices
- Internal price comparisons and special price negotiations with the airlines
- Checking and ensuring availability and quota adjustments
- Checking and adjusting flight subsidies and levying flight surcharges
- Preparation of statistics and evaluations, e.g. capacity overviews
- Reviewing target agreements (volume deals, early bookings, etc.)
- Regular monitoring of the utilization of purchased seats
Your qualification
- Completed vocational training as a travel or aviation agent or other tourism training
- Extensive professional experience in flight scheduling and flight control, preferably with a tour operator, travel agency or airline.
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Strong organizational skills and initiative
- Affinity for numbers and analytical thinking
- High sense of responsibility and reliability
- Good MS Office skills
